The Jetavanaramaya is a Buddhist stupa which is located in ancient city, Anuradapura. The king Mahasena was the initiator to build Jetavanarama stupa and king Maghavanna who was son of king Mahasena completed construction of this wonderful stupa. The Jetavanaramaya is one of eight sacred places (Atamasthana). Jetavanaramaya stupa is cosidered as the tallest Buddhist Stupa in the Asia. Height of Jetavanaramaya is 122 m (400 feet) and floor area is 5.6 Hectares. You don’t forget to visit Jetavanaramaya when you visit to Sri Lanka.
